The recent surge in renewable energy technologies has led to the development of a vast array of means to a more sustainable end. These technologies have been developed with the goal of maintaining an abundant, economic supply of energy while also preserving and improving the environment. Wind power, biomass, geothermal energy, and other forms of renewable energy sources can help address our most pressing environmental problems, including global climate change, but use of such resources must also be economically and socially viable.
